Facilities
The Physical Science department has an extensive array of geological equipment and facilities used by faculty and students in classroom, laboratory, and field settings. These facilities include a large collection of rock/mineral/fossil samples, a six-foot stream table, a fractured-rock groundwater simulator, topographic and geologic maps from various regions, sediment analysis sieves, rock hammers, tape measures, hand lenses, field guidebooks, and instructional videos/DVDs. We also take extensive advantage of the rich geological region in which we live. Field trips are incorporated in many of the classes.
